It's very much important to know your hair porosity so you can take care of it better. Since porosity affects how moisture and oil is absorbed it also affect how fast it's lost.
High porosity hair is prone to dryness due to its widely spread cuticles .
Medium porosity hair doesn't lose the hair that easily and also doesn't keep it alot.
Low porosity hair absorbs moisture slowly . It takes long to be moisturised but when it does it doesn't dry out fast.

How to take care of your hair depending on it's porosity;

High porosity hair
👉Avoid constant shampooing your hair. It rips it off the sealant and make it easier to dry.
👉Always condition your hair after washing.
👉Use moisture intensive products

Medium porosity hair
👉Clarify frequently to avoid unbalanced state
👉Use light weight products
👉Frequently moisturize and strength treatment to maintain the health of your hair

Low porosity hair
👉Use deep conditioner. This helps your hair absorb moisture fast
👉Use light weight products
