To dessert or not to dessert? πŸ˜„That is the question.
We say yes to dessert, healthy dessert. This oatmeal pancake with greek yoghurt and strawberries is a delicious and much healthier alternative to pancakes containing gluten, lots of cream and artificial syrups.

Smoothie in a wine glass... because why not?

We tend to buy the same fruits and vegetables regularly but did you know that it’s advisable to alternate between them? So if it’s been an apples and berries kind of week, try some mango and banana the next week. If it’s been spinach all month, how about some broccoli next week?

Mushroom pasta with mashed avocado. Cheers to a balanced meal.

The jury is still out on eating certain foods together in one meal, e.g. meat and carbs, fruits and vegetables, etc. While there may be some truth to this, it’s still important to ensure a balanced diet. Even if you separate them at meals, try to have some protein, fresh fruit and vegetables and carbs throughout the day.

Mango and spinach smoothie looking like an avocado smoothie πŸ˜„πŸ₯­πŸ₯‘πŸŒž

Made this with cow milk this day. I alternate between animal and plant milks ( coconut, almond, cashew). All are so delicious to me πŸ˜‹. Truth be told, I do still wonder about the health impact of each. There’s a lot of controversy on this subject and I would love to hear your opinion whichever way you lean.

🌞The simplest ever salad dressing!
+swipe right for a filling salad idea

🌞This salad is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and protein. Great for breakfast (did you know your brain performs better if you have more protein than carbohydrate for breakfast?) Can be enjoyed at any other time.

🌞Most store bought salad dressings are not the best. They contain unnecessary additives and even sugar! Why not try this dressing with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen?

🌞For the dressing:
A dash of olive oil-one of the healthiest oils when eaten raw and really good for your heart!

A squeeze of lemon or lime- both are high in vitamin C, flavonoids, antioxidants and so many other health goodies!

A pinch of himalayan pink salt ( or sea salt) - These are much better for you than table salt which can lead to osteoporosis in the long run

A sprinkle of herbs ( we used dried oregano in this salad- it’s packed with antioxidants!)

🌞For the salad:
Tomato- rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, folate and reduces risk of heart disease

Cucumber - good for hydration, vit. K, B, C and trace minerals

Feta cheese- for calcium,protein and phosphorus (low in calories and fat compared to other cheeses. Avoid if you are lactose intolerant)

Eggs - for vitamin D, folate, selenium, vit B2 (consult with your doctor if you have high cholesterol and do not consume if you have
A known egg allergy)

If allergic to any of the ingredients, replace it with any other organic and unprocessed one of your choosing.
