How Community-based Health Financing (CBHF) is transforming lives in uganda
Meet Sarah, a single mother from a rural community in Uganda. For years,she struggled to access basic healthcare for herself and her children due to high costs.But through her local community-based health Financing (CBHF) scheme, everything changed.
By contributing small,manageable amounts regularly,Sarah and her neighbours pooled their resources. Now, when someone falls ill,the funds are there to cover medical expenses without pushing families into debt.Thanks to CBHF,Sarah's children can access preventive care,ensuring they stay healthy and in school.
This story isn't unique. CBHF has empowered many communities to take charge of their healthcare creating a safety net for vulnerable populations, it's a powerful example of how collective action can bridge healthcare gaps and ensure that no one is left behind .
