First and foremost, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who has reached out, gave sympathies, checked in, prayed, sent good vibes, and extended offers to host the girls and I and to help wherever needed. Thank you to my family and friends that jumped in and helped me grab anything and everything that we could save. A million thanks to all the first responders for their hard work in containing the fire the best that they could. Thank you to everyone else that helped with the fire.
As you can imagine, this week has been devastating and stressful. I apologize if you have reached out and I have not gotten back to you, this has been a lot to deal with. Months of hardwork gone.
As of now, Mellow is closed for the foreseeable future. Everything is currently at a halt until things can be figured out with the multiple insurance companies involved. Until that proceeds, we don’t know the future of the salon. This is not the update I wanted to give but it is the reality.
I’m in the process of cleaning and salvaging my supplies and equipment and transitioning into another place.
For the time being I am setting back up at my old space inside Crosby’s Barbershop . This is the most logical and convenient place for myself and my clients. I am so grateful to have a place that I can return to, and am looking forward to seeing my husband all day, everyday 😆 (shout out to Blake Pifer for being my calm and laid-back reason through every storm, I love you!)
The goal is to be set up and ready to work by Tuesday, February 10th. I will reach out to clients this weekend to confirm, and will be in touch with the clients that I cancelled this week to reschedule.
Again, thank you for your continued support. I’m truly grateful for the amazing clientele and community that surrounds me. Much love to you all.
The setback is tough but the comeback is greater! 💪🏼
Kylie, Kianna and myself are all safe. We don’t know the extent of the damage to the salon, and probably won’t for the next couple of days. We will be contacting clients to cancel appointments and reschedule when we know more.
