Spring is almost here and with that the 2025 wedding season in SoCal will follow shortly after. I am full of gratitude for the wedding planners and photographers who continue to recommend my team and I to their clients. I always look forward to meeting new women and their families. Even though my moment in their lives is small (as in a few days) it’s also very special. My brides are my favorite clients and the kinship that I often feel with them is why I will always love weddings and the wedding industry.

Huge Congrats to ❤️
While this is not my work, I did have the pleasure of doing makeup for her once. She left such an impression on me, not only because she’s just so pretty, in that kind of way that people think you can’t actually look like in person, Olivia does look this good in person!
Aside from her staggering beauty she radiates from within and that’s what really grabbed my attention and made a lasting impression. She was easygoing, outgoing, led interesting conversation, she’s one of those people that you just want to be around. I learned how insanely talented and intelligent she is, and garnered an entirely new respect and understanding of the Miss Universe title. I’m so happy to see and got to be a part of her special day. I have had the honor of working with them both as well. They are the cream of the cream dream team. Shoutout to the fabulous whose makeup artistry I have admired for many years.

When it rains it pours, and when that’s on your ranch wedding day it could really suck ; or you could just go with it, have fun, get a little muddy, and still have one of the best days of your life.

A little reintroduction, I am Nyrie, makeup artist and owner here at Symmetry Beauty. A lot has been going on in my life. It turns out I was severely anemic for 2 years. Fixed that ✔️. Been busy building a non-profit for the last 14 months. This was never part of MY plan, but for whatever reason I was given an opportunity to give back to the women in my community and I rose to the occassion
I am fully in action over working my beauty magic for weddings & special events. I have shifted much of my makeup artistry focus this year away from set work, dare I say I am retired from set life. I have shifted my focus on education. Makeup lessons with clients of course. And now mentoring & educating new artists, in person and one on one. Educating the next generation of artists in the bridal industry on how to be the best of the best. At 42 I am ready to pass on my knowledge and experience, this is now a part of my career journey. I have been gifted with an amazing career, talent, and abilities that go way beyond makeup application. I have so much to teach budding artists and I am now ready and happy to share my gifts with others. One of the questions I get asked the most is “Do you get Bridezilla clients”, and my answer is always absolutely NOT. The clients who hire me gravitate towards my work and my vibe. We become friends in the process, I spend some of their most precious moments on one of the biggest days of their lives with them. I get to meet all of their favorite friends and family and be a part of something magical. Does that mean my clients aren’t particular, nope, they are often particular, “picky”, sophisticated, design conscious, and have a strong sense of their personal style and desired aesthetic. And they trust me to bring their visions to life. What an honor 💛

The Holiday Season is traditionally engagement season, although Covid did change things up. I still know that a lot of couples will be getting engaged and announcing their news while celebrating the holidays amongst family.

That is what I LOVE about my brides and clients the most, that I get to see them again and again and watch their families and their lives grow💛
A fun beauty face about wedding day… we prepped her skin with Aquaphor! It was the middle of fire season in the dry central coast of CA and her skin needed that extra layer of protection. Many people would flinch at the thought of using a petroleum product under makeup on a wedding day, but it worked beautifully that day. Her skin stayed smooth and hydrated all day! No cakey and cracking foundation allowed.
