Super cool experience today at a friend's cookout that I wanted to share.
Not only did I patch a bunch of people, but this situation blew me away.
One of the girls there has a seizure disorder that causes her basically to pass out in any situation.
She was sitting next to her fiancé and we thought she was just taking a nap in the sun. Her honey started checking her vitals and her blood sugar. I was a medic for a long time so I asked if she was ok and he told me what was going on.
All her vitals were normal, but he scooped her up to take her in the house because it was getting hot.
A little while later she woke up and was in what looked like a Postictal state after a seizure. You would have thought she was drunk and she wasn't even drinking. I had aeon and icewave on me so I explained what the aeon does and her fiancé said to try it. He explained that she would typically act like she was for 40 mins or more.
I had him put the aeon on her and in less than a minute she was completely coherent and said I'm hungry let's get some food!
There were 5 of us standing there watching this and we were all shocked. I honestly didn't know what I expected, but it wasn't that 🙂
When they were leaving she came and thanked me. She said normally when that happens she has no memory of anything for a full day and she remembered everything after she woke up.
