I love my clients down 😂
But when I’m off…
I’m OFF.
That means family time.
Rest.
Resetting.
Living life outside the salon too.
So if you don’t hear back right away after hours, or sometimes days later 😂 just know the work phone somewhere in this house and I’m probably not looking for it until I clock back in.
Also, email me.
That honestly helps me keep everything organized way better.
Love y’all 💕
Air drying isn’t “bad.”
But for tighter textures and many women with dense type 4 curls, going from soaking wet → fully air dried over and over again may not always be the healthiest long-term strategy for moisture balance, manageability, or length retention.
Especially when the hair stays wet for extended periods of time.
The longer the hair remains swollen with water, the more stress can be placed on the strand over time. Then when it finally dries in open air, it often dries unevenly, particularly through the midshaft and ends.
That’s usually when I start seeing:
dryness,
rough ends,
single strand knots,
increased tangling,
and split ends during blowouts or detangling.
This doesn’t mean you can’t wear your natural curls.
It means technique, drying method, environment, and consistency matter more than most people realize.
Healthy hair is rarely just about products.
It’s also about process, balance, and how the hair is being handled between styles.
Healthy hair is self love made visible.
Lately, life has been teaching me that faith and fear can exist in the same moment.
You can be nervous and still move.
Unsure and still obey.
Scared and still become.
So that’s what I’m doing.
One step at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One version of me closer to becoming HER.
The older I get, the more intentional I become about what I maintain.
My hair.
My peace.
My health.
My routines.
My self care.
Somewhere along the way, healthy hair stopped being just a beauty goal for me.
It became a reflection of how I was caring for myself overall.

December always makes me reflective… but this year feels different.
Maybe it’s because it’s my birthday month.
Maybe it’s because I’ve spent the last twelve months healing in ways I didn’t even have language for.
Or maybe because I’m finally giving myself permission to evolve into the woman God’s been calling me to become.
Healed.
Evolved.
Restored.
HER.
And the truth is… that evolution has been showing up behind the chair too.
This year, I’ve met so many women — my Nikki’s — who walk in carrying more than just hair concerns.
They’re tired.
They’re overwhelmed.
They’ve been disappointed by stylists who didn’t see them, didn’t listen, and didn’t prioritize their actual hair health.
Some don’t understand why their hair is breaking, shedding, thinning, or staying stuck at the same length… they just know they’re ready for a different experience.
They’re craving softness.
They’re craving structure.
They’re craving routine.
They’re craving a place that restores them, not drains them.
And I understand that on a personal level.
Because I’ve been restoring myself too.
So this month, I wanted to create something that feels like a quiet “thank you”… a reflection of the season I’m stepping into… and an invitation for you to step into your next chapter with me.
Book any appointment between now and December 20 and you’ll automatically be entered into the HER Holiday Giveaway — roses, rosé, and a full set of HER Essentials to elevate your at-home rituals… hair, heart, and lifestyle.
This isn’t just a giveaway.
It’s a celebration of softness.
A celebration of becoming.
A celebration of the woman you’re growing into — inside and out.
This birthday, I’m honoring the version of me who made it here… healing, evolving, and restoring in real time.
And I want to honor the version of you who’s rising too.
Drop HOLIDAY below, and I’ll send all the details straight to you.
Here’s to the beauty of becoming… and the softness we’re both learning to hold.
I had to pull over for a second and share this reflection with you all.
Lately, I’ve been feeling that familiar tug—
that rush of excitement that comes when a new venture calls, whispering,
“move fast, start over, tear it all down, and jump in.”
But I know what true growth requires.
My discernment keeps reminding me: this isn’t the time to uproot.
It’s the time to stay planted and let my roots grow deeper. 🌱
The biggest secret to your hair health is the same secret to every successful transition in life:
Structure over haste.
When we choose a thoughtful process over a quick fix, we choose lasting change.
We choose to be Healed. Evolved. Restored.
Not from panic, but from purpose.
My goal isn’t to chase the next trend—
it’s to reinforce the structure that gives you long-term confidence and clarity.
So I’ll leave you with this question:
✨ Have you ever felt that pressure to rush into a big change, only to realize the real growth was in staying patient and rooted where you are?
⬇️ Share your story in the comments. I’d love to hear it.

You’ve switched stylists, changed products, and tried every “healthy hair” routine on the internet…
but your results still don’t last.
That’s because your habits still come from survival mode.
Rushing wash days. Skipping care. Treating your hair like an afterthought instead of an investment.
The truth is, healing your hair starts with healing you.
The way you show up for your routine, your time, your peace — it all matters.
When you slow down and build habits rooted in care, consistency, and clarity, your silk press lasts longer.
Your scalp stays balanced.
Your hair finally reflects the woman you’re becoming.
Because it’s not just about products or technique.
It’s about lifestyle.
🌹 Save this as your reminder to become H.E.R.

Let’s be real… “silk press season” is one of the biggest lies keeping your hair stuck. 🚩
Healthy hair isn’t seasonal. Luxury results don’t wait for a forecast.
And every time you hold off until the weather shifts, you’re starting over:
♦️Breakage.
♦️ Dryness.
♦️ Setbacks.
That’s not luxury — that’s survival mode.
My clients don’t wait on seasons. 🌹
They thrive year-round with a system that gives them:
✨ Silk presses that actually last
✨ Length that finally retains
✨ Peace of mind in expert hands
Sis, if you’ve been waiting for “the right time” — this is it.
Seasons won’t grow your hair. Systems will.
⬇️ Comment BOOK and I’ll send you the link directly.
Stop settling for seasonal. Start thriving in every season.
