Happy Tuesday! It’s Latasha here, your esthetician! Just sliding by to send a few skincare tips that I’ve been sharing with those of you that I’ve seen in the treatment room throughout the month!

SPF: I would be remiss if I didn’t start (and maybe finish 😉) with an SPF reminder. With the snow still on the ground, I want you to look at it as a mirror- reflecting the UV rays from the sky onto your face…and causing damage!

Hydration: Winter is the season we see dryness like no other! Hydration is KEY, whether you’re a cocoa butter fan like myself (fun fact: cocoa butter is a natural spf as well 😉), or prefer a hyaluronic acid, your electrolysis journey will thank you for keeping your skin hydrated. Dehydrated skin = higher skin sensitivity to electrolysis.

Vitamins: I’ve had quite a few conversations with some of you and figured I’d let EVERYONE know: Vitamins C (topically) & D (orally) increase sensitivity in the skin (mainly, heat sensitivity). So if you feel your skin is more sensitive to electrolysis treatments, and you’re taking these supplements, that’s probably why!
