Two years ago today, we opened the doors to Maven & Mane… and if we’re being honest, it felt equal parts exciting and terrifying.

For Andrea, it was the American dream—building something from the ground up with heart, grit, and determination.
For Leah, it was a passion that ran deeper than hair—a love for education, mentorship, and creating a space where the next generation could grow, feel confident, and truly belong… all while being a mom and trying to balance it all.

What we didn’t fully know then was how much this journey would ask of us—or how much it would give back.

We’ve held each other up on the hard days, celebrated the wins (big and small), and stayed rooted in why we started: to build something meaningful. Not just a salon, but a home. A place where kindness leads, where growth is constant, and where every person who walks through our doors feels seen.

To our team—Emma, Hailey, Lauren, Jess, Amya, Sandy, and Ella—you are everything we hoped for and more. Watching you grow, step into your confidence, and support one another has been the greatest reward.

To our clients—thank you for trusting us, for growing with us, and for being part of our story from the very beginning.

And to our families—thank you for being our foundation. To Leah’s husband and kids, and to Andrea’s husband and parents—your support, patience, and belief in us made this possible in ways words can’t fully express.

And to Ashley Thomas—thank you for coming into our journey at just the right time. What started as guidance turned into so much more—your support, perspective, and belief in us helped shape not just our business, but the way we lead and grow. We’re so grateful for you.

Education is one of our core values, and our Junior Stylists are actively growing through our hands-on training program under the guidance of Leah and Andrea.

Hailey, Emma, and Amya have shown incredible dedication as they continue refining their skills in both cutting and coloring techniques. Through ongoing mentorship and real client experience, they are building the confidence and technical expertise needed to grow into the next stage of their careers.

Booking with one of our Junior Stylists is a wonderful way to experience Maven & Mane while supporting emerging talent. Services are offered at a Junior Stylist service level pricing, while still providing the same care, attention, and guest experience our salon is known for.

Their hard work and commitment to education are already shining through, and they are well on their way in their journey toward becoming Level One Stylists.

Ella joins us as our Stylist Assistant/Apprentice and brings four years of industry experience along with a true passion for the beauty industry.

She especially loves coloring and highlighting, and what she enjoys most about this industry is connecting with people and helping them feel confident and beautiful.

When she’s not in the salon, Ella enjoys reality TV, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with her friends and family.

We are so excited to have her expand her career with us and grow with our team.
