Let’s talk about knots
We all know what they feel like!
When a knot forms, the muscle fibers are stuck together and tightened restricting blood flow and sometimes pressing on nerves causing aches, discomfort, inflammation, and pain.
Knots can form from overuse, injuries, sedentary habits like sitting at a desk too often or manual labor, stress, etc.
Often times these knots will remain tightened if left untreated. Think muscle memory! Massage therapy can help release the tension, and, over time, correct muscle memory for those knots that seem to keep coming back! When a knot releases, blood flow returns to the tissue releasing metabolic waste and chemicals trapped in the tissue, providing you with much needed relief!
Please reach out if you have questions, or click the book now button above to schedule an appointment, I’d love to help you!

Hey everyone, gift certificates are now available on my website! If you know someone who needs a massage and want to show them some love, click the book now button on my page to access them! This would also be a great graduation gift!
Thank you to everyone who has booked so far, I appreciate you all!
let’s talk about stress.
When you’re stressed or feeling anxious, your “sympathetic nervous system” is activated or your “fight or flight state.” Your body is releasing cortisol, the primary stress hormone which affects things like metabolism, sleep cycles, blood pressure, etc.
Massage therapy activates your “parasympathetic nervous system” or your “rest and digest state.” This means during your session your body is releasing dopamine and serotonin and oxytocin (the feel good chemicals) while fighting off stress hormones (like cortisol).
If you often deal with stress and anxiety, massage therapy can literally take you out of fight or flight mode and put you into rest and digest mode! Some of you have been in fight or flight so long you don’t even notice anymore or you might think you’re “used to it.”
I urge you to take an hour out of your week to take care of yourself and give your body and nervous system a break, you deserve it!
