Cold Weather Survival Kit item #2: The Natural Balm✨
Meet my winter ride-or-die. This little stick of magic is:
•multipurpose
•natural
•travel-friendly
•adult + kiddo approved
•eco-friendly
Lovely for dry lips, cracked cuticles, and even taming those wild fly-aways.
I love applying these before bed for soft lips by morning. And when the car defrost is basically a face sauna just to keep the windshield from turning into an ice rink.🌵❄️🌬️🧊
Can you relate?!

I love the idea that skincare can be more than routine. It *can* be a moment of presence. Each product I make is crafted with intention - offering a pause, a breath, a reminder of stillness.🤍✨
Do you create moments of pause in your day?🌙🕯️

You’d think making soap is all about the lather and look. But for me, the real art- and the real challenge- is in the scent.🍊🍋🍋🟩
Crafting an essential oil blend isn’t just about combining scents. For me, it’s about evoking a fragrance that paints a scene. When I create new soaps, the name usually comes first- and the scent becomes the story.
Here’s what makes it tricky:
•BALANCE: A few drops to many, and your fresh citrus turns into a floor cleaner.
•RESONANCE: Scents carry emotions and stories. I want each fragrance to align with the name and description of the soap- so that the scent tells the story before the words do.
•PATIENCE: Sometimes, I’ll blend, wait, tweak, and repeat- until it finally clicks.
But that’s also the fun of it. When I finally get it right, the scent suddenly feels alive- like it’s telling the story.
So if you ever pick up one of my soaps and pause to inhale- know that behind that scent was a little bit of alchemy, a lot of trial and error, and a whole lot of passion.✨

Cozy Winter Stovetop Simmer🎄✨
I want my daughters to learn that we don’t have to open a package to fill our home with a lovely scent☺️
Here’s a recipe and instructions to warm your home during the darker months (photo courtesy of AI, fyi if it wasn’t obvious!😉).
You’ll need:
•1 small pot or saucepan
•Water (enough to fill the pot halfway)
•1 orange, sliced
•2–3 cinnamon sticks
•1 teaspoon whole cloves
•A small handful of fresh or dried cranberries (optional, but lovely)
•1 sprig of rosemary or pine (optional for a Nordic/forest note)
How to use it:
Add everything to your pot and cover with water.
Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat. Let it steam on the stove, topping off with water as needed.
Soon, your home will fill with notes of citrus, spice, and evergreen—soft, comforting, and perfectly wintery.
Reminder: Never leave a simmer pot unattended, and always keep an eye on the water level.
