Have y'all heard this one? #btcTHEMOREYOUKNOW 🌈 ... from @hairbyamybee - Fun fact: I can usually tell you how old your baby is depending on where this band is at 😂 Pregnancy does funny things to our bodies, and our hair is definitely not excluded from those interesting changes. During pregnancy, hormones are obviously a little bonkers. Your levels of estrogen and progesterone increase, so you might notice your hair is growing faster and sometimes a little thicker than usual. The hormone changes can also often lead to an increase in melanin. So you may notice your hair getting gradually darker as your pregnancy progresses. For some women, this change can be permanent but *usually* after a few months of having your baby, everything goes back to normal. So if, after having your baby, your “normal” hair starts to grow back and you notice some crazy color changes….like this sweet lady of mine….don’t panic, it’s normal 🤪 (this was probably one of the most extreme changes I’ve seen, which is why I had to document it!! Usually it isn’t this noticeable….but as you can see, sometimes it is!)
