Self Care in Real Life 🤍

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about self care.

As a massage therapist, I talk about it often — but I’ve also been learning that self care can look very different depending on the season of life you’re in.

Sometimes it’s relaxation.
Sometimes it’s simply doing what you need to get through the day.

Over the next couple weeks I’ll be sharing a few gentle self care reminders.

And wherever you are in your season of life, I’m always honored to meet you there and create a space for rest, healing, and care.

Friday Self Care 🌿

A calm space.
A deep breath.
A moment to reset after a busy week.

Massage helps release tension, calm the nervous system, and give your body the relaxation it deserves.

Returning to the treatment room has been a meaningful step back into routine.

There is something steady about showing up, creating a peaceful space, and focusing on caring for others.
Routine has reminded me that healing doesn’t always look like moving on — sometimes it looks like gently moving forward.

Grateful to be back doing what I love and providing a space for rest, relief, and reset 🤍

I’m returning slowly after the loss of our daughter Noa and will have limited availability through the rest of February. 🤍

One month in heaven 🤍

Noa,
one month without your earthly presence,
but not a moment without your love.

We dreamed of holding you, watching you grow, celebrating every milestone. Instead, we carry you in our hearts and imagine you surrounded by perfect peace — held, nurtured, and loved beyond measure.

We believe you are with your siblings, never alone, already knowing each other in a way we never got to see here. You made us parents, and you changed us forever.

Until the day we are together again,
we will carry you with us — always.

Today we should be snuggling up with our precious Noa.
Today was her due date.

Oh how I wish it were different—that we were holding you in our arms instead of holding your memory so tightly in our hearts.

Every day has been a constant reminder.
The postpartum pain… going to the bathroom and seeing the blood, wearing pads and diapers, the cramping, my body producing milk and trying to stop it with cabbage leaves and ice packs. My body still thinks you’re here, even though my arms are empty.

Last week, we had a beautiful celebration of life for our sweet girl. We felt so surrounded by love, and we find comfort knowing Noa is being held by Jesus, playing in fields of flowers and gold.

Yesterday was especially hard. We went to the funeral home to choose a resting place for Noa. It felt so heavy.
But in the midst of it, I know she was with us. The sun hadn’t been out all day—but the moment we walked to her spot, the sun shined right down on us. And as we left, it slipped back behind the clouds.
I know that was you, Noa. Watching over us 🤍

Tomorrow we will lay her physical body to rest. We know her soul is already in the Kingdom of Heaven—but that doesn’t make this any less hard.

As this year comes to a close, we hold gratitude and grief in the same breath—
wrapped in faith and love.
