My Hair Story
Hello, I’m Katie for those who don’t know me, I’am 24 years old and counting. I work at Karma Hair & Nails what use to be called Style Station in Arnold Missouri. Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to help people but never knew what exactly I wanted to do. I’ve always loved talking & listening to people talk about their lives or issues they have going on, so towards my senior year of high school I was leaning towards being a Counselor. I job shadowed and studied & i was 90% sure that’s what I wanted to do in life. Towards the end of my senior year though I job shadowed a Counselor & she was helping someone with the loss of a loved one & I just couldn’t handle it as well as i thought. You can talk to someone all day and listen but what bothered me is i couldn’t do anything for them besides let them talk to me. So I started thinking about a job where I could listen & give advice and just try and help them through whatever they are going through. Although I wanted them to leave from talking to me feeling better about themselves even if its the least i could do. So I decided to become a hairstylist. I loved doing my friends & families hair so it all started to make sense to me then on what i wanted to do with my life. I got an apprenticeship through Sabrina the owner of Style station that is now Karma Hair & Nails LLC, and I never looked back. I love making people feel not only good about their hair but about themselves as well. I promise when you leave my hair chair you will not leave not knowing how amazing you look & feel & how you have the power to do anything in this world you damn well please.
