4 years ago today, Studio Skin opened. 🤍 This photo was taken that day.

Looking back now, every good thing in my life has come from following my intuition and taking leaps that felt scary- but deep down, I knew they were right.

I look back at this version of myself and can't believe how much life can change in 4 years. If you would've told me, I never would've believed you. Same me, just stronger.

For a long time, I felt like I was just surviving. I had my kids young, didn't have a college degree, didn't have financial help or connections, and I spent years feeling stuck. I got really good at pretending everything was okay. I didn't let people get close to me because I didn't want anyone to know how much I was struggling behind my smile. Trying so hard to build a better life for my kids.

I remember working in the dental field, dreaming about becoming an esthetician because I loved skincare and researching it, but questioning why anyone would trust me with their skin. I took the leap anyway and kept showing up. What started as a dream that felt far out of reach has completely changed my life.

There have been tears, setbacks, self doubt, long days, loss of sleep, and plenty of sacrifices. But I gained something I didn't even realize I was searching for- confidence, purpose, freedom, community, and most importantly, the courage to believe in myself. And that has carried into every area of my life.

None of this would've been possible without all of you... and my kids, who continue to be my biggest motivation every single day.

Many of you have been with me since the very beginning. You've supported my small business, trusted me with your skin, celebrated my wins, and lifted me up on the hard days (even when you didn't know it).

I will never be able to thank you enough!

If you're feeling stuck- whether it's a job, a relationship, or just a season of life that feels impossible- don't give up. Anything is possible. If I can do it, anyone can. You are capable of changing your story. Life is short. Follow your gut. Only you can take control of your life.

Thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself. I'll never stop being grateful. 🤍

My kids helped me refresh the studio yesterday and I added some finishing touches today between clients. Feeling so grateful for 4 years- I'll never be able to put how thankful I am for everyone's support in to words. Thank you!! 💞🥂

One of my favorite parts of my job is the people I get to meet. Every age, every walk of life, every story.

I love asking my older clients if they have any life advice or if there's anything they'd go back and change. She said she'd change absolutely nothing... except smoking ci******es. She believes staying active and having something you're passionate about is one of the keys to a happy, healthy life. For over 50 years, that passion has been golf (and she still does Pilates, too!). You can tell she's been a wonderful mom.

She couldn't care less about the sun damage on one of her hands, but I thought this was such a powerful example to share.

For decades, she wore a golf glove on her left hand, but not her right. The difference in texture and sun damage is much more noticeable in person (I had just lotioned her hands before this photo). It's a good reminder that sun damage is cumulative. It adds up over the years. This could be the difference on your face, too!

Don't forget your hands. Your future self will thank you. 🤍☀️
