Pinnacle Massage
specializing in treating chronic neck pain and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome LMT, OR #28858
In times where it feels like AI is infiltrating parts of life I never would have considered, it’s nice to have some job security.
It feels good knowing that a robot will never be able to intuit when a client needs a little extra attention in one area, feel tissues change under pressure when a clients nervous system finally feels safe to let go, or hold space for a client, however they show up, in the same way that I get to everyday.
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is a compression of nerves, veins, or arteries in the thoracic outlet (the space between your neck and armpit) That compression most often shows up as pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, or swelling in the neck, shoulder, arm, or hand.
TOS can be caused by many things, including anatomical anomalies, but it’s commonly caused by repetitive motions, poor posture, or traumatic events like whiplash.
I bring it up, because a lot of these symptoms mimic those of carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive strain injuries. And a lot of people assume that wherever they feel pain is where the “problem” is, but our bodies are more complex than that.
There are many areas that we can target in a massage session to relieve the compression in your thoracic outlet and get you feeling better today!
❗️Disclaimer: I am not a licensed physician and therefore will not diagnose you with TOS or anything else. However, I see these symptoms show up on my table often and am able to treat them effectively. If you suspect that you have TOC or any other disorder that you believe needs medical intervention, you should see your doctor.
Are your feet stiff and achy when you first get out of bed in the morning? Working out the tension in your calves could be the solution.
