3️⃣ Reasons why you should avoid showering right before your Spray Tan Appointment

1️⃣ Soap and Shampoo Residue:
Washing your body can leave behind residue from soaps and shampoos. These residues can create a barrier that prevents the spray tan from adhering properly, leading to undesirable results

2️⃣ Skin Drying Time:
After a shower, your skin can take a couple of hours to fully dry. During this time, your skin’s moisture levels fluctuate, which can affect how well the tan develops. When your skin is damp, the spray tan may not react effectively (and you’ll leave feeling much stickier)

3️⃣ Rinsing Away Essential Proteins:
Your skin naturally has proteins that help the spray tan interact and develop beautifully. Showering can wash away these proteins, making it harder for the spray tan to develop properly

So when’s the best time to shower?
A proper shower with soap + exfoliation is recommend 12-24 hours beforehand.
If you *must* shower right before your spray, use cool water and no soap ✨
