Did you know downtown Medford has a $5 parking citation voucher program? Most people I talk to have no idea this exists, which is exactly why I’ve wanted to make this video for so long.

Here’s how it works: if you receive a qualifying citation, meaning a citation for staying past the posted parking time limit, while you are patronizing a downtown business, that business can use a $5 merchant voucher for the citation.

And this is not just for retail shopping. It applies whether your meeting ran long, your coffee date was too good to leave, your lunch went over, or your hair appointment took a little longer than two hours. The program is available to every downtown business, although each business decides whether to purchase vouchers and how they choose to offer them.

At Em’z Blendz, if you receive a qualifying time-limit citation while visiting us, bring it in. We will cover the $5 voucher for you. Your parking ticket should not cost more than your soap. 😆

Downtown businesses can purchase vouchers through Diamond Parking and keep them on hand for customers. It is such a simple way to turn a frustrating moment into a much happier one.

Please tell your friends. Share this video. Help us spread the word.

Downtown Medford is rad, and it’s easier to park than you think! 💙

The flags are back on the streets of Downtown Medford. 🇺🇸

After several years without them, today we made it happen with the help of awesome volunteers and the Downtown Medford Association.

This is what MedFORWARD means: showing up, bringing people together, making downtown better, and moving Medford forward.

More pride. More momentum. More reasons to love our downtown. ❤️🤍💙

If you like this energy and want to support this project, sponsor a flag! Please consider donating at the link we’ll share below or in our story.

Thank you, Medford. We love you!! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! 🇺🇸🫧🇺🇸🫧🇺🇸

Celebrating America's 250th Birthday 07/02/2026

**Donations Needed** ❤️🤍💙This year, our nation celebrates 250 years of independence — a milestone generations of Americans before us could only dream of seeing. Yet for too long, our own streets have gone without the one symbol that ties us all together regardless of background or belief: the American flag. It's time to change that. The Downtown Medford Foundation is launching a community-wide effort to line our downtown with flags worthy of this once-in-a-lifetime anniversary, and we need your help to make it happen.

A donation of $100 sponsors an American flag to be displayed proudly in Downtown Medford. Each flag will serve as a daily reminder of the freedoms we cherish and the people who protect them — from the veterans who wore the uniform overseas to the first responders who answer the call right here at home. When you sponsor a flag, you're not just buying fabric and a pole; you're making a statement that this is still a community that honors its country, its history, and the men and women who keep us safe.

We're aiming to have flags up and flying for the Fourth of July, so we're asking for your support now to continue this program for years to come. Every contribution — whether it's one flag or several — helps us reach our goal and ensures Medford shows up the way it should for America's 250th birthday. Donate today, and let's make sure Old Glory flies on every corner again.

Downtown Medford is getting a little more red, white, and blue just in time for the Fourth of July. 🇺🇸✨

For years, the flag brackets remained on the downtown light posts, but the flags and poles themselves were gone. What happened to them is still a bit of a mystery. Medford did not have them in storage, and no one seemed to know where they went.

But thanks to the hard work of the Downtown Medford Association, the City of Medford, and some very dedicated volunteers, the flags are finally coming back!

The city and the DMA worked together to launch this project, and this week the DMA and volunteers will be putting them up throughout downtown. And of course, no good comeback story is complete without a little problem-solving. The new poles did not fit the original brackets, but Andy (after a full day of problem solving) came up with a simple and brilliant hitch pin solution to keep them secure, and the DMA team made it happen. It is sturdy, practical, and built to serve downtown for years to come.

A very special thank you to Annie (and Brooks who drilled all the holes!), the executive director of the DMA, who has worked tirelessly to make sure this project came together in time for this very special Fourth of July!! We are also so grateful to the Downtown Medford Association, its members, the City of Medford, and every volunteer helping bring this beautiful tradition back to our streets.

Downtown Medford is moving forward (MedForward!!), and this Fourth of July, it will be flying a little brighter. ❤️🤍💙 Downtown Medford Association City of Medford, Local Government
