Unboxing and cuts vs trims

Refusing trims because you want your “hair to grow” is outdated thinking. 👵🏽

✂️You need a trim to keep what you have on your head from breaking off. We can control how much is trimmed, but you/I have NO CONTROL over how much breaks off!

Do I need to repeat that for the people in the back?😂🥰🥰

Happy Thanksgiving! Y’all worked me to death, but I love every minute of it. I’ll be rested and ready to go Monday Morning.

Funny story, I was standing in line at the store and heard a voice in my ear saying…”I’m so tired. I have been in the salon all week and got there at 7 this morning. I haven’t even done my hair yet. I look a mess, but I had to run in here to get something. When I get home I have to start cooking and then I’m going to bed!” The only way I realized that it wasn’t my inner voice talking was the 7am part ( see, I started at 9 that yesterday).

I turned around and there stood a sister stylist talking into her phone. I smiled, she smiled…we connected! ♥️That’s all!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going cray cray. 🤣

Healthy hair all day every day… even on off days. 😜

Wow! Part of the reason I was so late on the graduation post was because I wanted to make sure I had everyone… I carried that note around for weeks. Some might say I left her out because my memory is bad, or because she graduated from the other HU and pleadged AKA 😂. But the truth is, it doesn’t seem real!

This graduate just left the other day! 🤪
I guess I am now repeating phrases like, “My how time flies!”
I am so proud of you!!! Watch out world because in 2 years or less, I will be posting another grad post for this masters candidate. And oh yeah, shout out to her twin “Happy Feet”, too.

Let’s start from the inside out… a healthy gut is the key to healthy shiny hair.

Stylists are not taught this in cosmetology school. This is why when you come to your stylist regarding thinning hair, dry hair, flakey scalp, alopecia, etc., most stylists say drink more water, eat more protein, or use these products.

It wasn’t until I started learning about gut health that I changed my suggestion list. But how do we get a healthy gut?

A healthy gut can be attained through the foods we eat or the supplements we take. Probiotics being key! Google it, but be careful because a lot of the “articles” that come up are really advertisements for their products(usually costing a lot of money). They are usually marketed specifically for hair growth, when in essence all you need is a good all around gut health system.

I can suggest my favorite if you need guidance.
