Yall know my Vanessa! The first loyal female barber client of mine! She cracked me open to accept more females!! Being able to please her made it easier to welcome more ladies especially coming from managing a Dominican salon where all we had was LADIES! I haven’t spoken publicly since managing the Boardroom Salon for Men and flying to Texas to train the entire company on the success of their VINNINGS location. This interview was a moment of reflection and pride, centered on how barbershops shape culture.
Headkrack from Dish Nation led the conversation, and my client Adrian Epps stood beside me as he always does, lifting me with his grace. Just last week he laid his mother to rest. This week he’s out here motivating others to keep going. That kind of spirit is rare and powerful.
Special shoutout to Shareef! 💛 I’ve noticed I attract people who mirror parts of me. Whether they’re playful, natural leaders, or simply seeking peace, they find their way to my chair. I love this work and I’m excited for the world to see it when this airs.
