We at Mary Todd completely support the shut down today. As a small business I simply can’t afford to close up so while I am taking clients today payments are being ran offline and won’t process until tomorrow.

It’s great having at the shop here in PT. While it was nice to have the place to myself for the first year it was time to share the space with others. Very lucky to have that person be Krystall. A very warm welcome to all her clients that are joining us there too. Cheers 🥂

I huge thanks again to Port Townsend for welcoming me into your family!! This week I only have 4 appointments left and I’m sure they’ll fill in over the next 24 hours. I really couldn’t be more grateful to you all for putting your trust in me and my shop. I appreciate you so much.

Well there you have it folks. The end of my 5th week of fixing up the fine folks of Port Townsend. So many have now graced my chair and I tell no lie when I say every single one was a force unto themself. I simply can’t get enough of this town and everyone in it. I’m taking a few days off now to relax, recharge (varnish my darling Emmeline) and catch up on odd jobs both onboard my new home and around the shop too. Thanks to each and every one of you for the support. It’s means so much right now. X

Client selfies are always the best. Katie came by yesterday to have her haircut freshened up. We went with some classic layering that can either frame her face or can be styled up and back for this 1950’s inspired look here. I’ve added some Chappell Roan for your listening pleasure. Oh. Ps. Congratulations on being voted PT’s number 1 bartender. Well deserved.

Cheers to another wonderful week in Port Townsend. Every visit has been an absolute joy. Any fears I had about the gamble of opening a shop in a town that no one knew me have been completely squashed. It’s strange to have so many spaces on my book while in Atlanta spaces are impossible to come by. It’s to be expected and I’m enjoying the quiet while it lasts. I know for a fact I couldn’t be happier anywhere in the world. I’m so lucky to have found my place. I hesitated to post this while so many people’s worlds are upside down. Sitting here typing this I hope it doesn’t come across as gloating. Trust me when I say the stress of this gamble has taken its toll. Nothing worth having in this world comes easy.

Finished up my first two weeks here at the new shop. What an incredible reception from everyone who stopped by. Thanks to each and every one of you for making this crazy dream a success. Off to Atlanta tomorrow then I’ll be back here at my chair again the first two weeks of November. Until then I wish you my absolute best. Cheers.

First update on here for a long time. To be honest I’d given up on this page but with me opening the new location I thought I should put something up saying hello and letting you all know what’s been going on lately.
We have been lucky enough to be able to open our second shop in the beautiful little coastal town of Port Townsend. This is a truly magical place surrounded by snow capped mountains and full of absolutely wonderful people.
They were desperate for another salon to open with practically all the existing stylists being booked up and not accepting new clients.
I’ve had a great first week that was busier than I’d anticipated and this week looks even better. I’ll be out here for the first two weeks of the month while I grow the business. The second two weeks I’ll be back in Atlanta.
I truly appreciate everyone one of you on here both new and old followers alike and thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to support these adventures Mary Todd takes us on.
