Knicks insider James L. Edwards III has projected what the Knicks’ 2026-27 roster and rotation could look like, and there are definitely some interesting choices here. Edwards has the starting five staying exactly the same with Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns, while the second unit would feature Jose Alvarado, Deuce McBride, Landry Shamet, Mohamed Diawara and Andre Drummond. That would give the Knicks a pretty balanced bench with Alvarado bringing defense and energy at point guard, Deuce and Shamet providing shooting, Diawara adding size and athleticism on the wing, and Drummond giving them a true backup center. Edwards then has Tyler Kolek, Jordan Clarkson, Pacome Dadiet and James Wiseman rounding out the standard roster, with Kevin McCullar Jr., Tyler Nickel and Jaden Akins taking the three two-way spots. Obviously this is only a projection, but if the Knicks end up looking anything close to this, they’d have the pieces for a legitimate 10-man rotation with even more NBA-caliber depth sitting behind it.
