It is a privilege to be recognized alongside such incredible women from across our state. A huge thank you to The Honorable Erica Thomas () and Representative Miriam Paris () for this honor and for recognizing excellence across our community.
I’m looking forward to celebrating with my fellow honorees at the State Capitol! 🏛️!

I just want to take a moment to pause and say thank you.

Life has a way of stretching you, growing you, and sometimes testing you in ways people never see. Many of the things I walk through, I walk through quietly. But in this moment, I simply want to be grateful.

Grateful for the opportunities that are here.
Grateful for the opportunities that are still on the way.
Grateful for the strength to keep going even when the road isn’t easy.

I’m thankful for my doctors, my treatment teams, my clients who trust me, my children who love me, and the people who continue to support me along this journey.

I am deeply honored to be recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives as one of Georgia’s 100 Women of Excellence at Women’s Day at the Capitol.

Thank you to Representative Miriam Paris, the standing committees, the State of Georgia, and all of the phenomenal women being honored.

This recognition means so much, not because of the spotlight, but because it reminds me that perseverance, service, and faith never go unnoticed.

To anyone who may be walking through something quietly — keep going.

Keep pushing.
Keep being kind.
Keep showing up.
Keep praying.
Keep believing in yourself even when things feel heavy.

God is in control, and I give Him all the glory and all the thanks.

Grace carried me, faith sustained me, and purpose keeps me moving forward.

These young stars (ages 11–17) are stepping onto that runway bold, brilliant, and unstoppable. And guess what? Hair & Makeup is powered by SetWorkMasters featuring professional hairstylists and makeup artists from across Atlanta. We are bringing polish, precision, and runway energy all the way up.

As a celebrated creative force, she leads with brilliance, heart, and resilience— courageously battling breast cancer since 2020 while still elevating others and transforming industries.
Joscynthia is the Founder of SetWorkMasters, a groundbreaking education and workforce development platform that equips hairstylists, barbers, makeup artists, and wardrobe professionals to transition from salon work into film and television production. Her hands-on and digital training programs have empowered hundreds across the U.S. and abroad, teaching production literacy, etiquette, continuity, and the professionalism required for onset success.
Her artistry has shaped major productions with BET, TV One, Lifetime, Bravo, Warner Bros.
Discovery, and Swirl Films, and she has styled an impressive roster of talent including Angie Stone, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Megan Tandy, Judge Mablean, and Wes Brown. In 2024, she received the Women’s Day Recognition Award at the Georgia State Capitol, honoring her leadership and impact. In October 2025, she was inducted into the Bronner Brothers Hall of Fame for Excellence in Hairstyling and Education,adding to the growing list of accolades celebrating her innovationand mentorship. Her work has been featured in Essence, Sheen Magazine, Hype Hair, Voyage ATL, and more.
Through SetSurvival, she is developing financial aid, wellness support, and creative-career pathways for breast-cancer survivors. In 2026, she will launch The Pivot Maneuver, a transformative system teaching people how to turn life’s storms into purpose-driven strength.

It’s been a while since I looked in the mirror, smiled, and actually felt good about it.

I’ve been walking through fire—mentally, physically, and financially—and for a long time, I didn’t let anyone know just how heavy it all was.

I’m not one to beg. I don’t ask for help easily. But behind the smile was a mental warfare that drained me more than cancer ever could. When your mind won’t stop replaying your worries, you forget how radiant you truly are.

This smile? It’s not just a smile.
It’s a testimony.

To everyone who prayed, poured into me, or just kept checking on me—thank you.
I’m finally learning what it means to put me first.
To save myself before trying to save everyone else.

And guess what? I’m in motion again. Slow… but steady.
One smile, one step, one day at a time.

God is restoring me. And this time, I’m not letting go of my joy. 💫
