Is throw back Thursday still a thing?! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣 I’m not sure, but cleaning out my phone I found some of my favorite creations circa Spring 2021—I was in my “white background aesthetic phase” 😍

Creating dimensional and natural blends will forever be my favorite.

Are you a candidate for grey blending? 🎨 (the lighter tones you see in this blend are her grey tones gently lifted to create a blonde blend.) This was a color correction as she is breaking through years of using darker color.

1. You have a lot of grey hair throughout and on your hairline.

2. You don’t want to completely cover the grey with darker tones and need frequent touch ups. You want less maintenance.

3. You aren’t ready to fully embrace your grey, but are open to having them blend in with lighter tones.

Completely covering greys makes a harder line of demarcation when your hair grows out requiring frequent touch ups whereas grey blending allows you to slightly embrace the look of your grey hairs and only need touch ups every few months as the line of demarcation grows in a little softer.

👱🏽‍♀️ BLONDES—Us textured girls have a lot to consider with color. Should you go blonde this year? 🤔 If you can answer “YES” to these questions, I can’t wait to meet you ❤️

1. You need to express yourself! You need something new, a transformation, or a self-esteem booster! Life is too short not to switch it up.

2. You currently have a consistent healthy hair regimen and understand (or have a stylist) that understands when your hair is dry and what it needs. You understand that you may need a professional and qualified stylist to check in with.

3. You understand that the blonde you want may take more than one session to achieve in a healthy manner, but curl pattern and integrity are important to you.

3. Your hair is not damaged or you’re open to a cut.

4. You trim your ends when needed.

5. You are ready to assess your regimen and to potentially invest in a few products to keep your hair healthy and long.

You cannot expect to go blonde and not do anything to keep it healthy. Blondes don’t have to be damaging with the right colorist, and with the right after-care, and textured hair is special and unique, so understanding the TLC needed when lightening the hair is key to success!
