A LOT of people think if you wear any type of braids, weaves or protective styles, that you don't have any hair or that it won't grow. While that might be true in some cases, that's not always the case. More often, it's not the case. Many women wear protective styles due to jobs, limited time, simplicity, working out or like me...laziness! Taking care of the hair underneath is the key. Here's an example of a healthy head of natural hair that is being prepared for her protective style. It's been washed, scalp scraped/sanitized, deep conditioned, blown out, trimmed & moisturized. People shouldn't always make assumptions.
