“I’m SUCH an introvert — I could never start my own business!”
That’s just one example of the “head trash” that keeps women from pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams. And it’s one of the FIRST things we tackle in the full-day “Explore Entrepreneurship for Women” workshop.
There are many reasons why introverts actually make great business owners and leaders. This recent article from Forbes highlights five in particular.
Give it a read, then click over to our Events tab and get yourself registered for the Feb. 23 workshop. STRICTLY LIMITED to 12 participants for maximum interaction and personalized focus.

*You* get to shape the story you tell. That's a key tenet underlying "Edge: Turning Adversity into Advantage," the new book by Harvard Business School professor Laura Huang. Learning how to flip negative perceptions to your advantage is crucial.
It's easy to see how this applies to how we tell our story to others. But what if we were to look at how it applies to the story we tell *ourselves*?
So many women dream of starting their own business, but struggle with "head trash" -- negative perceptions they've internalized about themselves.
Reframing my own negative perceptions was the first step in my journey as a female entrepreneur and inventor. It's also the first thing I help women do in my highly-rated full-day workshop, "Explore Entrepreneurship." I help women flip that lens so they can begin to see the essential characteristics of successful entrepreneurs in themselves, along with their track record of success. Presenting the workshop is my small way of giving back, and I can't wait for the next session on Feb. 23.

In our "Exploring Entrepreneurship" workshop, we devote a full hour to helping aspiring female entrepreneurs:
--See how they share the same characteristics as successful business owners; and
--Review their own track record of success
We absolutely believe that the fastest way to close a performance gap between where you are and where you want to be is to build from your strengths rather than try to shore up areas of "weakness."
Check out this episode of the InspoRising podcast, where StrengthsFinder trainer and speaker Lisa Cummings discusses:
--Why obsessing over your strengths is more effective than your weaknesses.
--How the StrengthsFinder assessment can help you be more successful in all areas of life.
--What it looks like to use your strengths daily.
--A fresh approach to looking at your weaknesses.
Have YOU taken a StrengthsFinder assessment? What were your top 5 strengths? Mine were Strategic; Leaner; Activator; Maximizer; and Connectedness.
