Apologies to anyone I have been slow to get back to or need to get back to.
I found out back in March - fibroids have been causing heavy painful periods in between periods, lots of blood loss that caused anemia, and more. I was working through it and while this has been going on.
I recently had surgery 7/27 and they thought I had 10 fibroids to remove and that turned into 32! So they had to do major surgery (open myomectomy similar to how they open you up for a c-section, they remove the fibroids and repair my uterus). Thankfully the doctor said he was able to get them all 🙏🏾 and preserve my fertility.
I’m still recovering and have had to refer some of my clients until I’m able to be fully back on my feet.
Love you all and will be back in service in a few weeks! 💜💜💜

2/3 black women change their hair for job interviews due to being perceived as unprofessional.
Have you done this? In many ways a lot of us have with the mindset we had to grow up with and how we were raised for survival. It’s okay, we are reclaiming who we are and be whoever we want to be in the workforce!! 🖤🖤🖤

Do you interlock or palm roll your microlocs?
I had the honor of palm rolling this beautiful hair 🖤 who was a temporary client due to current Loctician being ill. She chose to palm roll due to the sensitivity of her hair.
Interlocking is always my first choice but I’m willing to meet the needs of my microloc tribe in any way possible.
Detangling: I used to dread wash days. It would take me a whopping two to three hours just to take down my kinky twists – and then another two to three hours washing and detangling to be ready for re-installation. But no more! I can now embrace wash day with open arms!
Product use: Say goodbye to being a ! Microlocs and Sisterlocks allow for versatile styling with minimal product needed. All you need is shampoo (which varies depending on if you have starter locs or mature), and maybe a refresher spray or water every so often. Also, no more detangling with products
