Have you ever decided you needed therapy... then looked at the cost and quietly convinced yourself you could wait a little longer?
You tell yourself you'll manage. You keep showing up for everyone else. You push through another week. Another month.
Until one day, you're exhausted—not because you're weak, but because getting quality mental health care can feel impossible without spending hundreds of dollars.
At Elevated Horizons Mental Health, we believe your financial situation should never determine whether you have access to compassionate, ethical care.
That's why we're proud to introduce the Elevated Access Program, launching Fall 2026.
Through this program, residents of Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico may receive pro bono or reduced-cost telehealth therapy provided by carefully selected Counselors-in-Training who receive ongoing clinical supervision from Alexis McCray, Ed.S., LPC, Founder and CEO of Elevated Horizons Mental Health.
This isn't "discount therapy."
This is the next generation of exceptional clinicians being developed under experienced supervision while expanding access to quality mental health care for the communities we serve.
Whether you're a veteran adjusting to civilian life, a first responder carrying invisible burdens, a military family navigating constant change, a student under overwhelming pressure, or a high-achiever who's tired of pretending everything is fine—we want you to know there is another path forward.
Because healing shouldn't be reserved for those who can afford premium rates.
Enrollment applications are now open. Services begin Fall 2026.
If you've been waiting for the right opportunity to begin therapy, this may be it.

The hardest holidays aren't always the ones where you're alone.
Sometimes they're the ones where you're surrounded by people... but still carrying grief, anxiety, guilt, memories, or the pressure to pretend you're okay.
For many service members, veterans, first responders, and the families who love them, the Fourth of July isn't just fireworks and cookouts. It can bring back deployments, trauma, missed loved ones, relationship strain, career loss, or the weight of responsibilities that never seem to take a day off.
You don't have to wait until things fall apart before asking for support.
A single conversation can help you slow racing thoughts, develop a plan for difficult moments, improve communication with those you care about, and leave the holiday feeling more grounded instead of simply surviving it.
The cost of going without support is often much higher than people realize. Stress that goes unchecked can affect your sleep, relationships, decision-making, physical health, work performance, and emotional well-being long after the holiday is over.
That's why Elevated Horizons Mental Health is offering Independence from Stress Holiday Support Sessions July 1–5.
✔ 45-minute Telehealth Session
✔ Only $95
✔ Limited to 10 appointments
✔ Available for residents of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona
This holiday, give yourself permission to receive the same care you so often provide to everyone else.

The holiday weekend isn't difficult because you're weak.
It's difficult because you've been carrying too much for too long.
For some people, the Fourth of July means cookouts, fireworks, and family gatherings.
For others, it means sitting in a crowded room feeling completely alone.
It means missing someone who isn't coming home.
It means pretending you're okay while your relationship is struggling.
It means navigating family conflict, painful memories, financial stress, loneliness, anxiety, or the weight of responsibilities that never seem to stop.
Many veterans, service members, first responders, caregivers, and high-achieving professionals have become experts at showing up for everyone else while quietly carrying burdens that few people ever see.
The problem is that what gets ignored doesn't disappear.
Stress becomes burnout.
Loneliness becomes isolation.
Conflict becomes distance.
Unprocessed emotions often show up later in ways we never expected—impacting our relationships, careers, physical health, and overall quality of life.
That's why Elevated Horizons Mental Health is offering Holiday Support Sessions from July 1–5, 2026.
These focused telehealth sessions provide a confidential space to talk through what you're carrying, gain perspective, develop practical coping strategies, and create a plan for moving forward before stress takes a greater toll.

Here's the reality:
The holiday will come and go whether you get support or not.
The question is what you'll still be carrying when it's over.
How much will another month of stress, isolation, grief, anxiety, anger, or emotional exhaustion cost you?
How might it affect your relationships, your work, your sleep, your health, or the people who depend on you?
You do not have to wait until things get worse before reaching out.
Only 10 Holiday Support Session appointments are available, and once those spots are filled, they are gone.
If you've been telling yourself you'll deal with it later, consider this your invitation to choose differently.

Some of the strongest men you'll ever meet are carrying far more than anyone realizes.
They are packing lunches before work, helping with homework after long days, showing up to ballgames, paying bills, managing stress, hiding exhaustion, and trying to be the steady presence their children need.
Some of them are doing it alone.
Our founder, Alexis McCray, knows this firsthand.
She was raised primarily by her father, who served in the United States Army while also taking on the responsibilities of a single parent. Like many fathers, he carried burdens that often went unseen. He showed up, sacrificed, adapted, and kept moving forward because his child was depending on him.
That experience shaped the values behind Elevated Horizons Mental Health.
Today, we want to recognize the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, military dads, first responder dads, father figures, and especially the men who are doing the work of both parents.
The truth is that strength is not the absence of struggle.
Strength is asking for help when you need it.
Strength is breaking unhealthy cycles.
Strength is choosing to take care of your mental health so you can continue showing up for the people who depend on you.
At Elevated Horizons Mental Health, we proudly support men's mental health and believe that fathers deserve support too.
Because dads make a difference.
If you've been carrying stress, burnout, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, grief, anxiety, or simply feel overwhelmed, you don't have to handle it alone.

At Elevated Horizons Mental Health, we recognize the importance of acknowledging our shared history while celebrating the strength, culture, and contributions of Black Americans who have helped shape our communities and our nation.
Our office is closed today, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth and will reopen on Monday, June 22, 2026.
We hope this day provides an opportunity for reflection, learning, connection, and celebration.
Happy Juneteenth from all of us at Elevated Horizons Mental Health.

For some, the Fourth of July brings stress, grief, loneliness, difficult memories, family conflict, relationship challenges, or the pressure to keep holding everything together.

When the Therapist Needs a Therapist:
Over the last 48 hours, I found myself in a position I often encourage others to embrace: reaching out for support.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I firmly believe that therapists should have therapists too. We are human first.
So I began searching for a telehealth therapist.
I reached out to three different practices.
Only one responded.
The response focused primarily on rates and insurance options. While I do have insurance available to me, I was intentionally looking for a simple, straightforward out-of-pocket option that would allow me to access support quickly without additional administrative hurdles.
After I explained that, the conversation stopped.
No follow-up. No alternative options. No referral suggestions. No "let us know if your situation changes."
Nothing.
I sat there thinking:
"If I'm having this experience as a mental health professional who understands the system, what happens to someone who doesn't?"
That realization hit me hard.
Mental health care should not feel difficult to access when someone has already done the hardest part—asking for help.
This experience reminded me why I created Elevated Horizons Mental Health.
I wanted a practice where people could access support without waiting for insurance approvals, referral requirements, or complicated processes. A practice where the focus remains on the person reaching out, not the paperwork surrounding them.
As clinicians, we sometimes forget that every inquiry is a human being who may already be carrying more than anyone realizes.
A response may only take a few minutes.
The impact can last much longer.
And yes—I'm still looking for a therapist.
Because being a therapist doesn't mean I don't need support too.
It means I understand just how important it is.
