Massage for Neck & Shoulder Pain ♥ Relaxing Techniques for Forward Shoulders, How to, ASMR, Athena

Athena was still recovering from her first surgery over the summer when she had to have surgery on her other leg. She is slowly recovering her ability to walk and appreciates your support and prayers. This video was filmed between the two surgeries.

Please let me know if you try these out these techniques:
1. Take thumbs over the shoulders to assess shoulder tension and crepitus.
2. Movements up the back of the neck on either side of the vertebrae.
3. Apply oil over the chest and clavicles. Run fingers over the clavicles to smooth tension and assess tension of the platysma muscle that covers the neck and upper chest.
4. Take thumbs from the sternum along the intercostal muscles and articulate gently around the sternoclavicular junction.
5. Articulate around the acromioclavicular joint and then toward the acromion process on the front of the shoulder.
6. Assess tension of the sternocleidomastoid with a soft pinching technique. Gently rock the shoulders.
7. Bring fingers slowly up the back of the neck to the occiput, making sure fingers are on either side of the spine, never on the vertebrae. Offer a subtle stretch.
8. Massage gently the lymph chain under the chin.
9. Locate the acromioclavicular joint on each shoulder a nd ease any tension near them.
10. Learn how to release tension around the scapula in my course, The Foundations of Subtle Alignment. You will also learn how to assess alignment of the sternoclavicular junction and the final technique with the sphenoid bone, considered to be the fulcrum of the body.
