Appointments vs Tx Weather

Good morning all,

Just a quick update about your upcoming appointments and how we navigate during harsh weather conditions. Personally, unless otherwise stated we are to stay in due to dangerous conditions, I will be at the suite. If there are black ice conditions and you feel it is unsafe on the route to your appointment- by all means please feel free to cancel on such days. We will take it day by day, as my husband likes to say "as a game day decision". There will not be a cancellation fee for these circumstances.

Speaking of cancellation fees...

Its very rare these days where a client doesn't show. I've been very lenient these past (going on) 4 years due to sickness or life situations. Recently there's been an uptick, and I'd just like to address it now. Unless you are ill, please allow at least 48 hrs to cancel your appt. it takes time to fill these appointments and adjust schedules. Same goes for changing services (i.e.If you're booked for a color service and haircut but now only want a haircut). I am left needing to make up for that time space. Please tell me at least 48 hrs before.

I HATE and I mean HATE having to have these conversations, especially when its a few that ruin it for the majority. I just want things to run smoothly for all, and make space for those that really could've used that spot.

Lastly, please , please , please... don't come in sick, even it is "allergies". If you're sick that's one thing, but if you make ME SICK...people get ticked because now I'm rescheduling days of clients, ya feel me?

’Tis what's up this Christmas season



Hey Ya'll! Just thought I'd do my once-a-year email to say hello and give a heads up about some things happening in these parts. Its Christmas season and I couldn't be happier. Per the uge this is the time I turn into an elf and want to share that happiness with whomever i can.

Some of you may know from my Instagram posts, but just in case you didnt see, I am currently doing a donation request at the salon for those in need. This year my family and I will be handing out Christmas Care Kits, which will supply those less fortunate on the streets with an opportunity to feel clean and cared for. These kits will be neatly packed with requested items such as :

* Unscented wipes
* Lip balm
* Travel shampoo
* Travel toothpaste/toothbrush
* Disposable razors
* Tissue packs
* Socks
* Handwarmers
* Protein bars
* Tuna packs

Any donation amount is awesome. Hand-warmers aside (which can be found on amazon in bulk) , a little goes a long way. As someone who has been personally blessed and impacted by someone else's giving this holds a special place in my heart. We plan to give them out at the very latest by New Years' Eve, but hopefully before Christmas day. I would really appreciate the help of making at the very least 25 bags . Next up - I'M GOING TO AUSTRALIA, YA'LL! Your girl has been asked to come on board officially, legally, and on payroll for Evo Hair !! Whewwww!!! What a long ride it's been, my 18 year old self would never believe I would actually be living out a dream come true in this industry.
No, i'm not moving, just training from the 11th of January till the 25th. Please make note when booking. Thanks to each of you who have been so supportive and have cheerled this moment. Nothing this awesome ever comes without its' trials first, but I have to say I am thankful to God for bringing me through to this moment.

This will not be my only class , and as I try and Heisman my way through the first quarter of 2024, I look forward to sharing all that is learned. Curly hair clients there is definitely some great things in store for you !

Lastly, (and this is just a booking aside) I am asking if you have an appointment booked for a specific service and it requires a signifigant amount of time, please keep to the services requested. If you need to change what we're doing, let's change it BEFORE your appointment, as I could've booked another client in that changed space. Thank you for understanding :)

Ok! Welllp! That just about does it , I hope you all are having an incredible start to your Christmas season and I look forward to seeing you behind the chair! Don't forget to take a candy cane on your way out, grab a hug, be nice on 290, and lets kick some butt on our way into 2024, huh!!!!

Dear Extended, Practically Family , Behind -the-Chair Team ,

I almost used a Super Bowl pic as my header but is anyone really excited for that anymore? Yes. Yes, they are because who doesn't want to see Brady stick it to Belechick in a stadium with 25 fans and fake audio of boos and cheers? Dunno. So let's get to the hair part of this before I start talking twice-baked potatoes.

Happy New Year and happy recess from lockdown #...what number are we on again...?
I just wanted to send out a love note seeing that February is dedicated love, appreciation, friendship, all the fuzzy warmth that comes with it , and my favorite part -chocolate! Ok and gifts. I don't know what my love language is besides trying to give a great shampoo , but it may be gifts.
During Christmas season, I set out to do two things: take care of kids that are less fortunate due to the lockdowns, and take care of single moms. I did this with your help, dear client. Over $250 was donated to get kids gifts , with 20 extra boxes of necessities, blankets for the homeless, giftcards for food, and now 20 single mothers get a free makeover haircut. Wow! What a blessing you are, thank you SO much for being a part of that!
To keep the love fest going , i'd like to offer , starting today , a 20% off haircut or color (restrictions apply) service for those that book for a future appointment. Only NEW appointments scheduled . This will last until the 28th, so you have some time to start booking! I will send out another reminder , so you don't miss out. The finish date will go until March 31st.
Also, if you have any single moms in need of a fresh look , please send them my way, i'd love to take care of her.
Again, thank you guys for sticking with me through this crap time. You who have been so loyal mean the world to me. I really do love each of you.

Hola Amigos! You may or may not have heard, but recently one of our beloved staff members and friend, Marissa, has started a brave battle with breast cancer. As you can imagine, this was a shock, and quite eye-opening. Although Mariss is looking at this square in the face with positivity, we cannot help but spring into action on her behalf to fight as well. We all know that the cost of cancer is very high. Thankfully, she has a tremendous support group. However, there is still much work in the trenches to be done.
