1. Fully saturate your hair with clean water before getting in the pool or ocean - this will help your hair absorb less chlorine and harsh minerals that can strip your color and hair cuticle

2. Apply a leave-in conditioner, serum, or lightweight mask through mids + ends to create a barrier

3. Keep hair in a loose braid to protect + prevent tangling

4. Rinse immediately with fresh water after swimming

5. Gently brush from the ends up after swimming
