You're washing your hair wrong
This is probably the BIGGEST one I see. Shampoo can be incredibly harsh on dry, fragile ends when it's used incorrectly.
You're not using internal repair after bleach.
Bleach changes the internal structure of the hair. If you're only using softening masks and oils afterwards, you're often missing the deeper repair your hair actually needs.
You use heat multiple days in a row
One of my biggest healthy hair rules: 1 hot tool session per wash cycle. Using straighteners or curling tools 2-3 days in a row keeps re-cooking the hair before it's had chance to recover. The less often you reapply heat, the healthier your hair will stay long term.
Your colour is too high maintenance
If you're bleaching every 5-6 weeks, your hairdresser physically cannot avoid some overlap because the regrowth simply isn't long enough yet

5 things that actually changed everything+
1. I stopped air-drying messy and started blow-drying with intention I don't just leave it to dry on its own anymore.
2.I never skip heat protection anymore Before any heat, I always apply a heat protectant from mid-lengths .
3.I switched to lightweight products only No heavy oils or thick creams at the roots anymore.
4. I "train" my direction while drying While blow-drying, I constantly brush the hair in the direction I want it to fall. I follow the brush with the airflow so the hair literally learns to sit straighter and smoother over time.
5. I stayed consistent with the same routine This is the biggest one. I didn't change my routine every wash. Same steps, same direction, same finish. Over time, my hair naturally started falling straighter even with less effort.
