🩸IRON LUNG BTS🩸 in-depth look at building the HMUFX office for 's blockbuster movie!

I'm really lucky to have a project-minded partner who ate down on this FX office build for me! Overnight, we had a space to foster our creativity and be able to produce the best work of our careers so far.

it was like we took up a 3-month artist residency and just so happened to make an amazing movie at the same time!

hey y'all! if you don't know me yet, I'm Anna Fugate-Downs - 's hair, makeup, and FX designer from Heist, In Space, and Iron Lung!

thank you to everyone who has followed and reached out since this movie was unleashed upon the world! the team and I have been blown away by y'all's response and praise.

we can't wait to keep making beautiful movies and exciting content for y'all. thanks for loving our movie - thanks for loving our Mark!

Character design on as Ava - costume design and hairstyle test subject is !

"This is bigger than any of us! Eden doesn't understand that! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT!"

I LOVED the creative process of crafting this effect. Not only did it reflect the gravitas of Ava's character, it also served as a piece of worldbuilding for the story of Iron Lung. Only the strong survive in the Coalition of Iron, and you don't get there without collecting a few scars first.

Caroline Kaplan is such a sweet, joyful, tender soul in real life! nothing like the brutal, stern, impatient Ava.

I loved working with Caroline and helping her deepen the connection to her amazing performance through the character design process!

y'all may have seen our crew motto around! this HMUFX team already worked well together, but we really did become one in the blood on IRON LUNG. I could trust these people with my life!

something special about this crew is that we have all worked for each other - we've all been each other's boss and we have all been each other's assistant. the trust and ability when the team is bonded by shared experience and not by a strict, corporate-style hierarchy is truly phenomenal.

I'm so proud to have assembled THIS team for THIS project. combined we have almost 75 years experience in this industry, and we brought every lesson any of us has ever learned to the bottom of the blood ocean.

It is a milestone for so many people and a set we will never forget. IRON LUNG was one of the most exciting, respectful, and joyous film experiences many of us have ever had!

optimism! grief! ferocity! triumph! Working on Iron Lung with and has been the most joyful emotional roller coaster of my life!

I was the hair and makeup designer, and together with , , .of.austin and MANY other talented crew, we created something I'm enormously proud of!

I knew back in 2022 that this project would be worth documenting every step of the way!

Now that the movie is out, y'all need to take a seat and stay sat for the blood ocean of BTS that is about to consume you

thank you to all of Mark's wonderful fans who celebrated with us and came to say hi after the movie!

I fully stood when the lights came up and told everyone in the theater that we were on the crew (someone screamed "I KNEW IT!!" 💀💀💀) and then made them all stay to film the new clip at the end!
