Today marks my 10th Phase 2 Class!! It's amazing to know I have taught Phase 2 curriculum for a total of 100 weeks! I swear It will never get old, it will only get better... like me! lol
Teaching these cosmetology students to think, speak, understand and function like a professional hairstylist is more rewarding than I could have ever imagined going into my educator career 2 years ago!
I love paying forward the foundations for them and help implying skills and traits that they will carry their whole careers!
I may be not be the fluffiest educator but I will teach you some things in hair that will make you successful in our amazing industry! That I can promise you!

I have been color, cutting and styling this gorgeous head of hair and the human beauty attached to it since I was doing hair in the KITCHEN 15 years ago PRE beauty school! When I finally went to beauty school. She was there to support me and when I've opened my salon suite she was a founding client. She was there on day one! It's incredible to have somebody like this on my support team.
This is why I do what I do and why I'm able to do what I do you're ready for a cool story?
So when I got into beauty school and started to learn how to understand color I had to break the news to Emily this client in the photo that her natural hair color was more of a natural neutral brown blonde then she was a redhead. I learned the biggest lesson of my career that day when Emily checked me and let me know that she was and will always be and I quote "a fu***ng redhead!!" It's her identity. It's who she is and she doesn't care how much I know color she is a redhead. 🔥
I said yes girl you definitely are a redhead and let me just put back what the environment has taken out by that I mean yes she was born with super red hair, she has photos to prove it! She has always been an outdoors person. Therefore the sun has always lightened her hair so her red hair overtime just got lighter and a lighter and eventually she looked more blonde than red but I tell you she is a redhead 1000% and I will never try and correct anyone on what their hair color is! Color theory told me one thing, but Emily taught me that hair color is people's identity and listen to them when they say that's who they are and what they want to always be. So she trusted me and I gave her back what she always knew was there!
It was an amazing learning experience and we have forever been bonded by it plus so much more but that story will forever live in my HairHarlot heart!
