The weekend has begun!

Taking a moment from our working vacation to enjoy a lunch with just the two of us in Center City Philly.

Sunday matinee with my sweetie! We are big fans of this movie and Cary Grant!!! The Paramount Theater in Austin is a gorgeous space to see it!

We’ve had rainy weather since I was in the office on Thursday and it was coming down sideways. We’ve needed this rain to fill up the lakes, but so sad it’s been so tragic. Wanted to let everyone know we are safe and dry inside. The outside is another story….

Spring is here in Austin, TX. I had the day off work as it was the last day of Spring Break for the boys and we had some appointments to take care of. In between, I stopped by the new library and took some pictures of how beautiful it is. With kids out of school, it was quite noisy! One toddler was crying when it was time to leave. My inner monologue said, “Me too buddy, when it’s time to leave here!”

Had so much fun touring the Houston Space Center!!! I teared up several times for happiness! For the longest time of my life being an astronaut was my goal. It was a special astronaut day and we got to hear a talk from an astronaut that was on the Columbia shuttle and has been to the International Space Station. He seemed older when he went up. Maybe there’s still time for me….

On vacation in Houston for the weekend. Coffee tastes so much better on vacation!!! My husband, brothers and one sister will be curling at a tournament this weekend. Glad we’ll be in a cool ice rink later! It’s more humid here than Austin. Beautiful morning here at the pool though.

Grocery shopping this morning!!!one of my favorite finds since we moved here is HMart. They did not have one where we were in Philadelphia. This one is 15 minutes from our house and we always find amazing food!!! Of course we also went to HEB as well. Came home, and I was starving!!! One of my favorite high protein snacks is plain Greek yogurt with strawberries that I cut up and marinated with sugar, and HEB granola. Yum! 😋

Scenes (and food) from the long 4th of July weekend … We spent lots of time hanging poolside and made amazing food like Tomato and Spanish Anchovy Bruschetta, creamy scrambled eggs on toast, mojitos and margaritas, and hummus plates. We are feeling quite relaxed and we still have one more day left!

Latest pictures of my garden! 🪴 This is definitely my happy place!!! Harvest time is upon us, as I’ve picked one zucchini, a regular size tomato and two cherry tomatoes. Pretty soon it will be a lot more!!!!

Dropped the boys off at NYLT today! So proud of them. Looking forward to hearing the great stories when they get home!!!! And then needed a pit stop at Buc-ees on the way home!

Our boys are 15 years old today!!! I can’t believe how much time has passed and how much you’ve grown! From 9 week premies barely weighing 4 lbs to almost 6 feet tall!! You are amazing young men that we are so proud of!!! Love you to the moon and back! 🌙 Happy Birthday!!! 🎂🎉🎁
