🌙Liquid Peel - a multidimensional layering enzyme/peel that exfoliates keratin and supports tissue regeneration.
🌙Mandelic Arginine Peel- prevents the formation of free radicals. Treats Pigmentation issues & photo-damaged skin! Accelerates wound healing, promotes collagen synthesis, and increases skin elasticity. Antibacterial/ antiseptic properties (superb for acneic skin).
🌙Hibiscus Peel - next generation AHAs! A phytobioactive peel that accelerates cell turnover while lightening the skin! The mandelic/phytic/pyruvic comes with the ultimate antioxidant punch✨️
🌙L-Lactic Acid - this trusty AHA regenerates and hydrates the skin, bathing it in a softening Elixir for smoothing fine lines and pro-youth results. I add this acid to a lot of my custom facials (unless AHA sensitive) by mixing in with enzymes to increase its efficacy and increase the water holding capacity of the corneum layer. Groovy, baby.
🌙Apple Wine Peel - this liquid magic is best for its Firming and toning action. This one I like to layer (on return clients only) to form a stronger peel in which the skin will flake and slough off, revealing taught, smooth texture underneath! Perfect for picking scars, lines around the mouth and eyes and the blast of antioxidants from the wine extracts lend a rejuvenating aspect to your overall skin health.🔮

Chemical Exfoliation vs. Physical Exfoliation:
Though a gentle scrub once in a while is just fine, there are MANY more reasons to look for chemical exfoliants!
✨️They are more effective - Alpha-Hydroxy acids and Beta-Hydroxy acids have the ability to pe*****te the skin for deeper and longer lasting exfoliation.
✨️They work faster! Though you may feel that instant smooth texture after a physical scrub, the results are not lasting and in a lot of times, depending on their properties, actually strip the skin leading to dryness and impaired skin barrier. Acids such as Lactic, Glycolic and some of my favorites in the spa (Hibiscus, Apple Wine, Liquid Enzyme, Mandelic Arginine) speed cell turnover, which allows the skin to shed faster while ALSO acting as a moisturizer due to their water-binding properties!
✨️They are *Chef's Kiss* for people with acne! Again, physical exfoliation strips the skin of its moisture. This is NOT what you want when dealing with acne. Acneic skin needs balance in the skin's oil production. Certain acids pe*****te deeper into the pores, making them your go-to if you are acne prone.
✨️They are more hydrating! Hydration is key for the smooth, dewy finish we all love. When our skin is dehydrated, it will become tight, dry, and flaky. No, thank you. Chemical exfoliants (specifically containing AHAs) are water soluble. Thus, you are not washing away your skin's natural, protective moisture.
✨️They are great for people with sensitive skin! Though sometimes enzymes, AHAs, BHAs, and other types of chemical exfoliants may seem daunting... they are GOLD when it comes to repairing your barrier and healing skin issues.
Put DOWN the St. Ives and other harsh scrubs, and get yourself some quality chemical exfoliants. Better yet, book your monthly facial, and let's get your skin cycle in a constant state of robust health!

Prevention is KEY! It's far easier to prevent future skin issues and damage (fine lines/wrinkles, rough texture, sagging and sallow skin, hyperpigmentation) than it is to correct it with costly, intense treatments in the future.
