Creating layers requires sectioning, elevation, and cutting throughout the hair to remove weight and shape the style. Even if the perimeter length stays the same, the internal structure of the haircut is still being changed.

For curly and textured hair especially, layers affect:

• overall length appearance (because curls shrink when they’re encouraged)

I just found out last night that this lady left this earth back in September. As your stylist when you come to us repeatedly we really get to know you and we truly do care for you! This woman once showed me an act of kindness that I would have never asked anyone for, when I needed it the most. I thought back to our last appointment which was a month before she passed. She told me she knew she wouldn’t live long. Her appointment with me was one thing she thought to do heading in to the end! I just don’t have the words to express the gratitude that I have for all of you. I’m also home sick today thinking of how grateful I am for the customers who allowed me grace with their appointments today. ❤️XOXO Britt
