Going through my mom’s old recipe boxes last night hit different.
Stacks of clipped recipes… pages she saved for decades… and I started feeling guilty tossing any of it. You know that feeling — like you’re throwing away little pieces of someone you love.
And then this recipe showed up.
In her handwriting.
At the exact moment I needed it.
This wasn’t food.
This was my mom talking to me from heaven reminding me what actually matters.
I’m keeping this one forever.

Mother’s Cookies (rewritten exactly)
Ingredients
• 1 cup faith
• 1 cup forgiveness
• 1 cup sympathy
• 1 cup courage
• 2 tbsp kindness
• 1 cup understanding
• 1 tbsp respect
• 2 cups joy
• 2 cups love
• 2 tsp patience
• 1 cup harmony
• 2 cups smiles
Directions
Into a bowl mix love, patience, sympathy & faith.
