Running this game for 5 years, guess that’s why my feet hurt 👅

5 years ago today at 25 I stepped foot into this building not knowing what God had in store for me. Gutted it out & turned it into the prettiest salon in my city. I wasn’t prepared for the struggle. The late nights. The moments of doubt. The times I questioned what I got myself into. Working through life, pain, and sadness all at once.

I also wasn’t prepared for the success. The wins. The celebrations. The money. The growth. The moments where I had to sit back and realize… I really did this! A young Black woman who didn’t come from much opened a storefront in Pikesville 🥹 Every day I walk through these doors, I remind myself to lead with gratitude. Because I’m living in someone’s dream… and that someone is me.

I said this 5 years ago & I’ll say it againnnnn, to every woman out there: with hard work, dedication, patience, and a lot of tears, anything is possible through God 🖤

I am stepping into a new chapter

And I am forever grateful for it all.
