Baltimore Massage and Wellness for Women
Hi, I’m Hadassah and I’m on a mission to help women heal physically, emotionally & spiritually -so you can finally feel good in your body Hi, I’m Hadassah.
I help women heal from pain, stress & burnout. Let’s gently rise out of pain together.
What I wish women knew…
We’ve gotten so caught up in “hustle” culture- the endless to-do lists, productivity, and survival mode- that we’ve forgotten how to listen to ourselves.
As women, we’re not meant to have the same energy every single day.
Our bodies naturally go through different seasons, and I think there’s so much wisdom in learning to work with them instead of constantly pushing through.
I would love for more women to slow down, listen to their body, and trust their intuition.
Can anyone else relate?!💛
One very unsexy
yet surprisingly powerful
question to ask yourself when you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, can’t take a deep breath, or disconnected from yourself:
What do I need right now?
Physically?
Mentally?
Emotionally?
Spiritually?
💛
Sometimes the answer is simple:
I need food.
I need sleep.
I need a walk.
I need a hug.
I need to cry.
I need to ask for help.
I need five minutes of quiet.
The goal isn’t to have the “right” answer.
The goal is to start listening again in a gentle, curious way. 💛
What do I need right now?
P.S. I’ll go first- I need some mental rest to quiet my brain so I’m heading to the gym ❤️💪
Society tells women:
Tired? Drink another cup of coffee.
Hungry? Finish your work first.
Overwhelmed? Keep going.
Need a rest? Be productive first.
Need help? Handle it yourself.
We hear these messages for so long that eventually they become our own voice and we stop asking:
“What do I need?”
We stop listening when our body says:
“I’m tired.”
“I’m overwhelmed.”
“I can’t relax anymore.”
“I feel stuck in survival mode.”
💛
That’s why I’m building a community of women who are learning to ask a different question:
Not what does everyone else need.
Not what SHOULD I do for everyone else
But:
What do I need...
what do I really need? 💛

I remember years ago when I was doing healing sessions in New York.
I had worked all day and was getting ready to get on a plane back to Baltimore.
And I remember suddenly realizing…
Hey, hadn’t eaten all day!
My first thought was:
“Oh, it’s fine. I don’t need to eat.”
And then I caught myself.
I literally started laughing and told myself-
“No Hadassah, you need to eat.
You need to take care of yourself first.
You matter too.”
That moment has stayed with me.
Because I think so many women get so used to overriding our own needs that it starts to feel normal.
Hungry? Ignore it.
Tired? Push through.
Overwhelmed? Keep going.
Need help? Figure it out yourself.
We do it for so long that we stop noticing we’re doing it.
And sometimes healing starts with something as simple as listening when your body says,
“I’m hungry.”
Or,
“I’m tired.”
And answering,
“Sure, let’s go get some food and then lay down.” 💛
(P.S. Don’t worry. I eat now. 😆)
One woman told me when she got off my table -
that she had been struggling with headaches for so long that she forgot what it felt like NOT to have one.
Another shared that she often can’t tell if she’s hot, cold, or hungry because she’s become so disconnected from her body.
That broke my heart.
Because I think a lot of women silently walk through life carrying so much stress, anxiety, grief, and emotional pain for so long
that we stop listening to our bodies.
Hungry? Keep working.
Tired? Drink another cup of coffee.
Overwhelmed? Push through.
Need rest? Maybe later.
Need support? Handle it yourself.
After enough years of doing that, the body stops feeling like a trusted friend and starts feeling like a problem to manage.
But sometimes what we’re really looking for- is a way to feel comfortable in our bodies again.
To feel free and childlike again.
To feel like ourselves again. 💛
Regulating your nervous system doesn’t always look like meditating on a mountain, deep breathing, or relaxing in nature.
Sometimes it looks like lifting heavy weights at the gym.
The goal isn’t to be relaxed all the time.
The goal is helping your body feel safe enough to come out of survival mode. ❤️
What helps your nervous system feel grounded? 💪
Today my son woke up not feeling well.
When I came back from the gym,
he seemed to be feeling a little better. I said:
“Maybe you just need a mental health day.”
And I told him sometimes your body hurts head aches, tummy aches, feeling really tired
but sometimes your brain is feels stress and needs a rest too, just like your body.
So we took a slow day.
We made healthy food together,
swam in the pool, relaxed, and just slowed down.
And at the end of the day he said-
“I feel like when I go back to school tomorrow, I’ll feel refreshed.”
Honestly, I think a lot of adults never learned this.
We wait until burnout, anxiety, chronic pain, or exhaustion force us to stop
-> instead of taking care of ourselves along the way.
Sometimes it’s movement, sunlight, healthy food, rest, laughter and letting yourself breathe again ☀️🥗💛
Here’s the latest chapter of my story…
After my third child, I was really struggling postpartum, so my doctor put me on anti-anxiety and antidepressant medication.
At first, it helped.
But deep down, I knew I didn’t want to rely on medication forever.
Last year, I made the decision to come off of it.
And honestly?
One of the biggest things that helped me heal was lifting heavy weights.
I’ve never felt particularly strong before.
But now I feel stronger than ever- physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I feel like the strongest version of myself 🔥💪

When you’ve been in pain for so long,
finally feeling relief feels incredible.
Like: “wait… I’m not wearing my shoulders like a nice pair of earrings anymore?!”
When your body has been stuck in stress, anxiety, and tension for months or years,
finally feeling calm again can feel surprisingly emotional.
This week there were a lot of tears of joy on my table from women finally feeling their bodies relax for the first time in years.
And honestly, the body holds onto so much more than we realize, and I feel really grateful I get to do this work 🙏
Just some thoughts from a trauma-informed massage therapist 💛
