Still cannot believe around this time last year we were invited to CNN to represent not only BLACK OWNED Businesses, but also the Beauty & Beauty Supply industries regarding trade policy 😭🙏🏿🙌🏿 That time was a whirlwind of NATIONAL media invites from NBC to the Washington Post. I was truly HONORED 🤩 and told that I had an open invitation back, although it’s CLEAR I was on Jake’s LAST NERVE 😭😆

In that time we moved to Bartlett, but what hasn’t changed is that Pink Noire is still here with a commitment to community, education and customer service rooted in excellence. An oldie but goodie: This is the story I don’t tell often enough 🤎

The truth is, Pink Noire was born out of an experience that didn’t serve me. I walked into a beauty supply store needing something simple as a Black woman, and what I left with was a clear understanding that the space wasn’t designed with me in mind ✨

The products, the service, the energy… none of it matched what I actually needed 💕

I’m not telling this story TODAY to bash anybody (although at the time I probably still felt a way). I’m telling it because that moment is what pushed me to be the change. To stop waiting for the experience I deserved and BUILD it 🙌🏾

Pink Noire is that change. A space made BY us, FOR us, with everything you need and every ounce of the respect you deserve 🤎

What a NIGHT 🗽🧡💙

107 to 106. The Knicks pulled it out and now we’re 3-1 in the Finals 🙌 That game was a masterclass in believing, fighting, and refusing to give up. And honestly? It hit different for me.

Because I lived in New York for 10 years. I went to grad school at Columbia, and it was there, walking those city streets, that the vision for Pink Noire was born ✨ Five years later, I opened our doors in my hometown of Memphis. Same dream, different zip code 💕

If Pink Noire exists at all, it’s because I held onto a vision long before anyone else could see it. So watching the Knicks fight for theirs last night reminded me 🤎 Belief is everything. The dream is worth the wait. And when the underdog wins, WE all win ✊🏿

Congrats Knicks 🗽💙🧡 This one’s for everybody chasing something bigger than themselves 🙏🏿
