This quote is so near and dear to my heart and it is so fitting for THIS day.

My mother journaled everyday…after she passed away my 5 siblings and I met up at her house to sort through her belongings & what we found was so beautiful & profound…There in her closet was a big box of journals!!! (This was right up my alley…I love to write & read🤗)
•
On the inside cover of one of her journals we found this quote that she wrote and it spoke to our hearts so deeply.

My mom had undergone several surgeries which included surgery on an ankle she broke twice, brain surgery to remove a large benign tumor and 2 surgeries to insert ports in her chest and head to administer chemotherapy so she knew the very meaning of “fight for your life” and a fighter she was….until the very end!! 💕
•
Life is so precious & it is also but a blur…I’m reminded of this every time I hear of people losing a loved one…I lost an uncle this past week and at 3am this morning I held my niece as she wept after my sister & I drove to her home to tell her, her father was found deceased.
•
Cherish the ones you love, be kind to one another & lift up in prayer those who are fighting for their life be it due to a terminal illness, addiction, depression or mental illness…

Emotional dependence is not easily obtained…it takes WORK! When you arrive there, you’ll know because both the highs and lows of life will begin to feel different (in a good way). So extend yourself some grace, change your mindset, develop grit, and love YOU a little more each day💕
