UV is a scale that measures the strength of the suns UV rays(UVA AND UVB).

Lower UV rays you don’t need to be as cautious. When you get up to 4-5 is when you want to start being more careful.

8 and up is high and protection is more important

Anything past 10 is extreme and going without protection can lead to a serious burn or worse.

And yes even when it’s cloudy, the sun is still shining through the clouds

One of the best habits you can start doing for yourself is applying sunscreen everyday
