Due to the evacuation orders and out of an abundance of caution for our staff and clients safety alike, we will be closing our Baytown location at 4PM today and it will remain closed until Friday at 6AM. That closure could be extended if Laura tracks west and causes more damage than expected but we won't know the answer to that until the storm has passed! Be safe!

Our electrical malfunction has been repaired and we have gone through the beds to locate any possible equipment failures caused by the power loss. We have found that 3 lamps in bed 13 and 3 lamps in the leg tanner will not ignite and are going to go through our warehouse in an attempt to locate spares for these units to get them back up to our standard. Bed 9 is also remaining out of service due to an internal issue that needs to be diagnosed by our bed technician who is (Lets just say) Backed up😂 . The biggest problem that has arisen due to the Electrical malfunction is that our AC's have suffered internal damage and our company wide AC contractor has a technician enroute to diagnose and repair the problems with them . but we will spare no expense to ensure that our clients are happy and getting the experience that they deserve! It is important to note however that even if the AC's are repaired and in service within the next hour (which is what we are expecting) it is likely that the Baytown salon will not cool down the remainder of the day due to the added stress of the beds running with the already warm temps and high humidity and but we will get it all cooled down overnight 😉 aside from that, all of our UV tanning units are back in service (Excluding bed 9)! Today only SAUNA/TANNING AT THE SAME TIME!!! Burn those calories!!!

‼Message from David Givans Island Tanz CEO. in regards to Island Tanz Baytown.‼
It has come to my attention that over the past couple of days (While I was out of town and Gerald Brogdon was working his full time job in the medical field) that several of our UV tanning units in Baytown have begun to show signs of malfunction most notably several lamps not igniting as well as the AC units not working properly. Today I was finally able to get into the store and diagnose the issue. If it was just 1 or 2 beds and the lamps were aged it would be 1 thing but the majority of the beds being down and adding the fact that the lamps are not old then it would lead to an infrastructure issue as opposed to an equipment issue. Upon inspection we realized that during one of the storms last week a fuse on one of the electrical legs coming into the salon on Centerpoints side has blown meaning that our equipment has not been getting the power needed to operate correctly. This is an easy fix that we are waiting on Centerpoint to complete. We will keep our beloved clients up to date via Facebook with our operating status throughout the day as we await the repair. With this said, operating with the malfunctions that we have had the past couple of days does not represent the Island Tanz standard and we are going to make it up to everyone! We will be discounting all upcoming membership drafts 20% for July as compensation for this headache as well as a thank you to our loyal beloved clients! Anyone with a month to month package will have 1 week added to their package. Once again thank you for your loyalty and understanding in this matter and stay safe in these uncertain times 😎 -DG.
