Hair Republic Salon announcement - Happy Holiday Greetings, After 10 years at Hair Republic Salon, Chelsea has decided to change career paths and work as an office administrator closer to home. This will allow her more time with her daughter and family.

Something to share on your pages or salon pages! The DO’s and DON’Ts of Hair Care During Quarantine **

DO:

- Use a temporary root concealer spray or powder to cover grays
- Use this time to give your hair a little break from heat styling and coloring
- Indulge in some deep conditioning and hair masks to hydrate and repair your hair
- If you have oily hair and you wash it every day, this is a great time to try and “train” your hair to become more balanced by skipping days between washes
- Try new looks like wearing your natural curl, switching your part, or sweeping your grown out bangs to the side
- Practice using your curling iron or fine tune your blowout skills using your round brush and blow dryer.
- Learn how to do different types of braid and ponytail styles by watching videos
- Try on hats and play with accessories like clips, headbands, scarves, and scrunchies
- Tie and pin hair back away from the face when you must go out for any reason. This will help you avoid having to touch your face when your hair gets in your way.
- Continue to show your support for your stylist and your local salons! Ask about purchasing gift cards to use at future appointments, blow out packages, and hair care products.

DON’T:

- Color your own hair with box dye!! If you have been box dying your hair for years and you DON’T regularly get your color done at the salon, continue as is. But if you are someone who maintains your color at a salon, box dying of any kind may result in a total hair disaster that you will be stuck with until salons re-open. Then, you will need an expensive color correction.
- Ask your stylist to come to your home. It is a health hazard to not only you and your stylist, but also to anyone who may live with you or your stylist. It’s just hair. It can wait.
- Cut your own hair (including bangs!!)
- Cut or color anyone else’s hair
- Neglect yourself- even if you aren’t going anywhere, it feels good to look good!
- Switch to drugstore shampoo, conditioner, treatments, or styling products. These products leave buildup on the hair which can lead to a multitude of issues including breakage, oily scalp, dry ends, flakes, brittleness, knotty hair, and color fade.

Hair Republic Salon closure -

Hair Republic Salon has had some changes this summer! Chelsea and Stew Davis have welcomed their new baby girl Caroline into the family! Chelsea will be returning from maternity leave the first week of September and is booking up fast.
Brandy Langeberg has made the move to the tri-cities with her family. We wish her the best and will miss her greatly.
We've also welcomed a new colorist, Skylar Szelachowski to our team!
Back to school schedules are filling up so be sure to go online or call to book appointments.

We have a great opportunity for a colorist AND a designer. One of our busy designers is leaving on maternity leave and then only coming back part time. Also a part time colorist is moving to eastern Wa and these clients all need a new artist. This is a perfect opportunity!!
