Keloid scar removal from the back of the neck the patient previously had been seen by two dermatologists one from Federal Way and one from Bellevue. He was ultimately referred to me for Removal. The location of the scar in the back of the head, where all the hair follicles were made it quite distinct from other areas. The hair follicles made this scar much more vascular. When I reached the larger scar and attempted to remove it like the other small ones, I knew that the bleeding was too significant to continue that way so I had to use cautery to remove it.
