Yoga is a practice of more than asana (physical poses). It’s a practice of being. Ahimsa is a Yama that keeps coming up as we speak about police brutality, silencing of BIPOC voices, and the institutionalized racism and classism within our country. Ahimsa means do no harm or non-violence. It’s a Yama. A moral observance of yoga and one of our 8 limbs. Support for black lives is necessary. I am so proud to have this message on my little business. Yoga is a practice that is inherently political in the support for others and our moral obligation to uphold one another.
