Before:
• Natural level 7
• Permanent black box dye mids/ends
• Hard demarcation line
• Uneven porosity + stubborn lift

What I did:
• Sliced strategically to break through artificial depth
• Used a 1:1 highlight-to-lowlight ratio for balance
• Checked foils mid-application instead of timing blindly
• Toned to her natural level, not the lift I wished I had

Why it WORKED:
• Placement > volume
• Timing control prevents banding
• Lowlights correct contrast, not color

The takeaway:
A successful correction isn’t about forcing lift.
it’s about reading the canvas, respecting the hair, and knowing when to stop.
