I love adding highlights just for dimension when you want a change but don’t want something super drastic!

You’d be surprised at how much of a difference going just one or two levels lighter/darker do for you!! 😍

As hairstylists we use a color scale system from 1 to 10 to determine how dark or light something is. Level 1 being black, level 10 being the brightest blonde possible.

On my Meghan, we did a level 8 lowlight (2 shades lighter than her natural) that way we could keep the overall appearance of her hair lighter and brighter!

Where as if we had done her natural color (6 being decently dark compared to her highlights) I felt it would have looked really harsh and contrasted. Although sometimes we do this I know that the next time I see her we will just be doing highlights and getting ready for ✨SPRING✨

I always aim to give my clients modernized hair that still looks elegant and classy, especially for my blondes! 🤩
