Not all breakouts are actually acne, and treating the wrong condition can keep your skin stuck in a cycle!
If your “acne” isn’t improving (or keeps coming back), it might be time to take a closer look 👀
The right diagnosis = the right treatment, and that’s where we can help!
We get it. Sometimes a sunburn happens. But, how you treat your sunburned skin can make a big difference in how you feel and it heals.
If you’re dealing with a burn, here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Get out of the sun and avoid further exposure
2️⃣ Use a cool compress or chilled aloe vera to help with pain and swelling
3️⃣ Take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen for pain if needed / safe to do so
4️⃣ Keep your skin hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer
5️⃣ Once healed, protect your skin daily with SPF and consider antioxidants like vitamin C
Still struggling? Consider an over-the-counter hydrocortisone ointment for a short period of time, or see your dermatologist for a stronger prescription topical steroid.
If your sunburn is severe or not improving, it’s always a good idea to come in.
